Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Fabricio Werdum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ned Nedeltsev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Werdum dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Werdum gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Nedeltsev counters by moving into the clinch.
Werdum trying to stall but Nedeltsev improves his position.
Werdum has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Nedeltsev is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Nedeltsev escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Werdum takes the fight into the clinch.

Nedeltsev successfully pulls guard.
Werdum trying to control the position from guard on top but Nedeltsev is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Werdum trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Werdum stands up and waves to Nedeltsev to follow him.

Werdum shoots in for a double leg but Nedeltsev sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Fabricio Werdum. That's going to take a lot out of him.
The fight stays on the outside here - Werdum looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And Nedeltsev responds with a good body kick, but Werdum manages to step out the way in time.

Werdum pushes Nedeltsev up against the cage in a clinch.
Werdum wants a takedown but no success here.

Nedeltsev pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

and Werdum counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Nedeltsev has his hands clasped together around Werdum's back. He's all about the action.

Nedeltsev has one foot on Werdum's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

Nedeltsev closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Werdum quickly recovers to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nedeltsev is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Werdum tries to hold on but Nedeltsev pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Werdum has given up his back here.
Nedeltsev lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Werdum hold on?!

Werdum wants to control his opponent's hands but Nedeltsev gets his hands free.
Werdum is breathing heavily.

Nedeltsev is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Werdum has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Nedeltsev has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Werdum taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Nedeltsev doesn't care though - he's delighted!
