The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Midas dodges the punch combination from Nogueira.
Nogueira misses with a takedown attempt
and Midas counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Nogueira tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Midas defends well and Nogueira ends up having to push Midas into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Midas thuds his shin into the meat of Nogueira's side.

That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Renato Nogueira. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Midas! Nogueira is out on his feet! Midas rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Nogueira is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Nogueira is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
