Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Justin Bradshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Norman Bates was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Justin Bradshaw! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Norman Bates! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, James Atkins and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bradshaw feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Bradshaw gets to his feet - Bates follows without any prompting. Bradshaw thows a body shot but no joy. Bates drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Bates wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bradshaw, who protects the arm well. Bates tries to advance to mount but can't. Bates lands an elbow. Bates working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Bradshaw tries to bench press Bates off him but Bates keeps the position. Bradshaw is working hard here to advance position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bradshaw sneaks back into half guard. Bates wants to pass the guard but Bradshaw is defending well. Bates lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Bradshaw is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Bradshaw missing with punches from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bradshaw shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Bates counters with a shoot takedown. Bradshaw fights it but they end up in guard.

Bates tries to move to mount but Bradshaw blocks the move with his legs. You can see the frustration on Bradshaw's face as Bates controls the position. Bradshaw is looking to reverse the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Bradshaw loading up with punches from the back mount - how long can Bates hold on?

That was a close round but I would say that Justin Bradshaw will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Bradshaw tries to roll over but Bates keeps him under control. Bradshaw gets back to full guard.
Bates connects with a couple of short punches. Bradshaw wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Bates is now in half guard. Bates is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Bradshaw's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
