Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Armand Nunez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lukas Zmrd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Lukas Zmrd enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Armand Nunez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lukas Zmrd! The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Donatello Bradman and Francis DeMontford.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zmrd avoids the body shot from Nunez.
Nunez falls off balance throwing a combination
and Zmrd counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Zmrd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Nunez has one foot on Zmrd's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Nunez looks for a takedown but Zmrd sprawls well. Zmrd scores with a push kick. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Zmrd swings and misses with a shot to the body and Nunez counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Zmrd moves in looking to clinch but Nunez pushes him off.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zmrd looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Nunez! Zmrd decides to stand back up. Zmrd steps back and let's Nunez get back to his feet. Zmrd feints and as Nunez raises his hands in defense, Zmrd changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Zmrd lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Nunez holds on and takes a little breather. Zmrd tries to free his leg and advance position but Nunez is retaining full guard. Zmrd missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nunez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nunez keeping moving, preventing Zmrd from controlling successfully. Zmrd pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nunez is keeping the position for now. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Zmrd working his ground and pound in the gym. Zmrd stays in close to Nunez's body and controls the position. Nunez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Zmrd's guard.
Nunez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zmrd wants to stand up but Nunez is controlling him. Zmrd tries to land a sweep but no joy. Nunez is standing up over Zmrd. Zmrd looks to escape but Nunez dives into side control.
Zmrd tries to get back to half guard but can't. Nunez working away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nunez wants to stand but Zmrd has his arm trapped. Zmrd is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Nunez is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Nunez is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Zmrd can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

Zmrd just misses with a punch to the body.
Zmrd closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Nunez to the mat! Nunez manages to get full guard. Zmrd seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Zmrd is continuing to stall. Zmrd looking to sit in guard and control but Nunez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nunez throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Zmrd works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Nunez cracks Zmrd with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nunez wanted to stand there but Zmrd had control of the position. Nunez content to stall in guard here. Zmrd wants to get back to his feet but Nunez passes into half guard.
Zmrd has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Nunez escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Nunez! Zmrd tries to control but Nunez manages to take his back.

Nunez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Zmrd can do to turn this around? Zmrd trying to control the action but Nunez just sinks the hooks in. Nunez scores with punches from the back.
Nunez controlling well, preventing Zmrd from escaping the position.
Armand Nunez overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zmrd tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Zmrd really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Nunez raining down shots from the mount! Zmrd wants to hold on but Nunez pushes him away. Nunez controlling the position easily from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Zmrd is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Nunez controlling from mount. Nunez prevents Zmrd from getting the reversal. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zmrd is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Zmrd is breathing heavily. Zmrd is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Armand Nunez dominated that second round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!
Zmrd shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Zmrd postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Zmrd trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nunez thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Zmrd must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Zmrd wants to stand and escape but instead Nunez has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Nunez is looking to work some ground and pound but Zmrd has wrist control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zmrd looking to control but Nunez passes into half guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Zmrd is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Nunez pulls his head out easily. Zmrd takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Well, if Nunez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Nunez is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Zmrd has managed to free his arm - good work. Zmrd is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Nunez trying to control the pace. Zmrd kicks off Nunez and gets to his feet. Nunez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Nunez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zmrd tries to get back to his feet but has found himself mounted instead. Damn, that's gotta suck.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nunez controlling from mount. Zmrd can't escape the position.
Nunez controlling from the full mount. Zmrd is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zmrd is looking to get to half guard. Nunez looking to control and managing it successfully. Zmrd defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Nunez. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Zmrd slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Armand Nunez. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Nunez, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
