Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alfred Newton! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Ron Honeybunn and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Newton doesn't manage to clinch there - Vasil circles away.
A punch combination from Vasil misses. Newton is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Vasil lands with an uppercut that bounces Newton off the ropes and back into range. Newton fails with a takedown attempt. Vasil displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Newton. Newton moves in looking to clinch but Vasil pushes him off. Vasil shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Newton's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vasil trying to control but Newton is working from the bottom. Newton wants to sweep but no luck. Vasil throwing strikes but missing. Newton trying to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vasil trying to control the position from guard on top but Newton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Vasil avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Vasil postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Vasil missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Newton is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Vasil has his hands clasped together but Newton extends and breaks Vasil's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Newton.
