Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Maul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). White comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Fugees - Ready or not kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Chris White has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Maul! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chris White! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Donald Grub and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Maul gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows White to score an easy takedown into full guard. White slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. White scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maul is looking to stand up but White isn't so interested in that idea. White preventing the sweep. Maul wants to get back to his feet but White is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
That's one minute gone in the round. White looking to sit in guard and control but Maul gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Maul tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard. Maul trying to control but White is working from the bottom. Maul stays in close to White's body and controls the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Maul trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. White preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. White wants to stand up but Maul is controlling him.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Maul definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. No joy there for White, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Nice defenses there by Maul. Maul scores with a decent looking hook. White takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Maul misses with a leg kick. White gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Maul. White misses with an attempted mid kick.
White scores with a decent looking hook. White looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. White walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. White throws a combination. Maul tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! White fails to land with a series of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Maul is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Chris White has been cut. Maul throws a jab but it's blocked by White. White moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. White closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Maul did well to prevent White getting side control. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw White working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Maul is concentrating on defense, preventing White from advancing position. White scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Maul kicks White off and gets back to his feet. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! White tries to land a front kick but Maul steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Maul keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Maul getting the better of the striking in that exchange. A punch combination from White misses. Maul misses with an uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White gets a takedown into half guard. Maul controlling the position for now. White prevents Maul from improving his position. Maul trying to control here.
Maul is not content to let White control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Chris White will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Chris White's cut. That's time! Maul's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
White on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
White lands an overhand right. White looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Paul Maul seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Maul moves out of range of the body kick from White.
Maul tries to clinch but White moves out of range. Chris White is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A shot to the liver by Maul. Beautiful body shot. White takes one to the chin there. White avoids the body shot from Maul.
White takes a shot to the body in his stride.
White uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Maul.
Maul looks to score with a jab to the body but White is just out of range. Maul throws a leg kick and White connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. White misses with a wild combination.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Maul scores with a shot to the body.
White looking for a takedown here - he's got it. White sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Maul pulls White in close to his closed guard and prevents White from doing any damage or advancing position. White trying to control the position from guard on top but Maul is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. White controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Maul has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but White has passed into side control.
Chris White has got the better of the ground game so far. Maul is trying to control White's posture but White avoids it. Maul pushes White away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, White gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Maul wants to control but White postures up. Maul bucks up and tries to throw White off but instead White has got his back! Maul trying to get back to his feet but White is in full control for now. Maul trying to control the action but White just sinks the hooks in. White controlling from the back. Maul manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Maul listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. White misses with an attempted mid kick.
White thows a left - swing and a miss! A cross from Maul lands. Maul ducks down and throws a hook to the body but White moves away. Maul fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. White looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Maul missing with a left hand there. White was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Maul swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Jab by Maul. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! White drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Paul Maul is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Maul cracks White with a good jab. White misses with a jab, cross combination.
White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Maul tries to clinch there but White circles away.
Maul avoids a kick to the body.
White throws a right and a left that both miss. White shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Paul Maul dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Chris White's cut. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Maul defends it nicely. Both fighters circling a little - White finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Maul fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Maul swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
White misses with a takedown attempt - Maul sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Nice straight punches there by Maul. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Maul. White fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Maul wants to clinch up but White keeps it at a distance. White misses with a hook. White changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Maul tries to avoid it but White manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Maul to the ground. Maul escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Paul Maul has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Chris White. Maul jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Maul misses with a looping left. No joy there for Maul, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's one minute gone in the round. White shoots in for a takedown but Maul shows good takedown defense. White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Maul lands with a hook. White tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Maul darts in and clinches White up against the cage. A head punch on the inside from Maul fails to land. White blocking some punches.
Maul tries to throw a body punch but White avoids it by throwing Maul back against the cage. Maul throws a punch but it's blocked by White. Maul lands with a short shot to the head. Maul throws a head punch that misses. White has Maul pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. White pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Maul tumbling to the mat - White dives into Maul's guard. Maul working a defensive guard here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Maul keeping moving, preventing White from controlling successfully. Maul controlling the position. Maul's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Maul wants to get back to his feet but White is in a dominant position and won't allow it. White trying to control but Maul is working from the bottom. Maul on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Maul tries to get out of the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. White ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Maul tries to bum rush White with a series of wild strikes but White uses good footwork to avoid the assault. White shoots in for a takedown but Maul shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Maul's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Maul duly obliges. Maul throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Paul Maul is winning the standup battle so far. Maul scores with a jab. Maul takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. White pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Maul back to the cage. White follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Maul throws a big shot that misses. White darts in looking for a takedown but Maul gets double underhooks and turns White into the cage. Maul tests White's chin there with a solid looking shot. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Maul thuds his right hand into White's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. A slow jab from Maul misses its intended target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. White looks to land a combination. Maul sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. White walks into a stiff left hand from Maul. White lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Maul moves out of range of the strikes. White throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Maul. White shoots for a takedown but Maul saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. White drops his hands momentarily and Maul takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. White walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
White is rocked! White shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Maul sprawls well. Maul wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. White gets slowly back to his feet. Nice body punch from Maul. Maul lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Maul moves away from the strike by White.
And that's the end of the fight! Paul Maul showed his dominance in that final round. I think Maul has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
