Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Christian Battle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tomas Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, Colin Fotheringham and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Battle. Those never looked like landing.
Silva with the counter takedown but Battle avoids it easily.
Battle misses with a series of wild punches.
Silva circles away from the clinch attempt.
Battle works over Silva's head and body with a nice combination.
It looks like Tomas Silva has been cut.
Silva moves into the clinch successfully.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Battle.
A short left from Silva.
Battle jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Silva walks away with a smile on his face. Battle gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Battle throws a right and a left that Silva avoids nicely.
It seemed like Silva was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Battle moves into range and throws a big uppercut. OH! Silva goes down! Can Battle finish him!?
Silva is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Battle passes Silva's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Silva is still in real trouble! Can Battle finish him?
Silva pushes Battle off looking to stand but Battle dives back in and keeps control.
Battle maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Silva could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Battle has cracked it and Silva is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Battle!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Christian Battle!
