Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William McDougal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Everaldo Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, William McDougal! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Everaldo Junior! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Josh West and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McDougal fails with the takedown. McDougal lands a jab to Junior's midsection. Junior scoring well with a low kick there.
McDougal takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Junior pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McDougal looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Junior manages to break the clinch.
McDougal throws a body punch but Junior moves out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Junior closes the distance and clinches. Junior breaks from the clinch.
Junior clobbers McDougal with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Junior misses with a combination
and McDougal counters with a nice double leg into half guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Junior is not content to let McDougal control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Junior is looking for a sweep. McDougal is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Junior is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of McDougal's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take McDougal's back! McDougal trying to control the hands but Junior won't let him. McDougal is trying to stand back up. McDougal rolls, trying to escape but Junior keeps control of the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Junior is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Junior has his opponent's back but McDougal is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Junior. Junior tries a head kick but it misses.

Junior throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Junior throws a head kick that misses. Everaldo Junior is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Junior throws a head kick that misses. McDougal has taken the fight to the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. McDougal is looking to take this one to the mat. Junior is trying to force a seperation but McDougal has the dominant position. Junior escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Junior throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by McDougal. McDougal misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for William McDougal. That's going to take a lot out of him. Junior takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
It looks like Everaldo Junior has been cut. McDougal gets the takedown into side control. McDougal is trying to get an arm triangle but Junior is defending well. Junior is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Junior is controlling McDougal's position as best he can from this difficult position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. McDougal wants to take a breather but Junior is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Junior is trying to control but can't.
McDougal throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Junior to regain full guard. McDougal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. McDougal trying to control but Junior is working from the bottom. We've been hearing good reports from McDougal's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today. McDougal lands a couple of decent looking shots. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! McDougal controls the pace of the fight for a moment. McDougal in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. McDougal trying to control the position from guard on top but Junior is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Junior is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. McDougal holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Everaldo Junior dominated that round. The cut man is working on Everaldo Junior's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
McDougal has taken the fight to the clinch.
McDougal utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Junior pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Junior moves into the clinch successfully.
McDougal has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Junior avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Junior unloads a knee to the mid-section. The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as McDougal takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Junior tries to break the clinch but McDougal is controlling the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Junior breaks the clinch.
Junior throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and McDougal counters with a crisp one two that drops Junior! McDougal thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Junior to his feet! Junior is in big trouble!
Junior is rocked! Junior tries to clinch and McDougal counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Junior to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by McDougal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). William McDougal!
