Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matty Markos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Patches Meech (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Meech has chosen shear it maybe as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
22 - 32 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Patches Meech!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meech falls off balance throwing a combination
and Markos counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Markos.
Markos has Meech pressed against the cage.
Markos keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Meech's efforts to push away.
Markos jumps guard.
Markos is looking for a triangle but Meech pushes his legs off easily.
Markos had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Meech defends it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Markos looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Meech wants to get up but he can't break Markos's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Markos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Meech gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Meech won't allow Markos to get back to his feet.
Markos is trying to control the position but Meech postures up.
Meech wants to stand but Markos is controlling his posture from full guard.
Markos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Meech fails to land with a series of punches.
Meech misses the shot to the body.
Markos throws a big counter combination but Meech scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Markos throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Patches Meech is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Meech misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Markos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Markos slips a jab and a cross from Meech.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Meech enables Markos to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Meech manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Meech wants to stand and escape but Markos is having none of it.
Markos with a flurry of punches that miss.
Markos looking to sit in guard and control but Meech gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Markos is looking to stand up but Meech isn't so interested in that idea.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Markos is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Meech would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Markos on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Markos tries to get out of the position.
Markos is trying to hold Meech in close to prevent damage but Meech has managed to pass into half guard.
Markos trying to hold on to Meech's head to control him but Meech postures up.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Markos moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Markos tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Markos working a defensive guard here.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Matty Markos will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Meech slaps away a takedown attempt from Markos, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Markos drives through and clinches with Meech against the cage.
Markos looking for a takedown.
Meech working hard to break the clinch.
Markos slowing the pace effectively.
Markos is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Meech is defending well for now.
Meech is looking to break free of the clinch but Markos has double underhooks.
Markos has picked Meech up - he's going for a ride! Markos dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Markos wants to control but Meech is keeping him busy.
Meech has one foot on Markos's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Markos misses with a few strikes there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Markos shoots for a takedown but Meech saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matty Markos. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Meech misses with a left hand
and Markos counters with a takedown into side control.
Meech explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Meech throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Meech lands with a good body shot.
Markos dodges the punch combination from Meech.
As Meech looks to move away, Markos throws a big counter combo but Meech just gets out of the way.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Markos takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
It looks like Matty Markos has been cut.
Meech lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Markos is rocked!
Matty Markos is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Meech lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Markos can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Meech and Markos drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Meech.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Patches Meech!
After the fight, Patches Meech was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
In defeat, Matty Markos stepped up to the mic, saying 'I will be back this is only the begining'.
