Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Slyker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Walters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Slyker's entrance music is Richard Wagner - Ride of the Valkyries. A fine choice. Walters has chosen Send my love to the Dance Floor by Cobra Starship as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Walters shoots in for a double leg but Slyker sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Walters shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Walters scores with a takedown into Slyker's guard. Slyker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Walters tries to get to full guard but Slyker has control of the leg. Slyker slows the pace down in half guard. Slyker is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Walters throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

That's one minute gone in the round. Slyker prevents Walters from improving his position. Slyker is controlling the pace.
Slyker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walters keeps working.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Walters is trying to get back to full guard. Slyker is looking to take a break and control but Walters is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Slyker is figuring out what he wants to do next. Walters gets back to full guard.
Slyker trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Walters looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Slyker tries to free his leg and advance position but Walters is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Slyker slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Slyker won't allow Walters to sweep him here. Slyker wants to control from the top but Walters keeps moving.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Walters shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Slyker but Slyker pushes him off and we're back to square one. Cain Slyker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Walters. Walters is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Slyker fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Slyker lands with a right hand.
It looks like Andre Walters has been cut. Walters looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Slyker! Slyker is wriggling around trying to escape.

Slyker lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Walters circles away quickly and effectively. Slyker circles away from the clinch attempt.
Walters tries to clinch up. Walters tries to close the distance and clinch but Slyker swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Slyker lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Slyker. Cain Slyker is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Slyker looks to land a combination but Walters avoids it well. Slyker pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fighters circling - Walters throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Slyker ducks under a wild hook from Walters. Slyker decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Slyker wants to control but Walters is keeping him busy. Walters tries to get to full guard but Slyker has control of the leg.

Slyker stuns Walters with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. The fight stays on the outside here - Walters looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Slyker feints and then cracks Walters's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Walters down. Walters is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Slyker scores with a one two! Walters had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Walters tries for a takedown but Slyker circles away easily and Slyker connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. The fight moves into the clinch position. Walters is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Slyker is keeping busy. Walters is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Slyker breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Slyker pushes Walters up against the cage in a clinch. Walters tries for a takedown. No joy.
Cain Slyker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Walters. Slyker's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Slyker moves into the clinch. Walters is looking to control Slyker's arms but Slyker gets an underhook and turns him. Now Walters has his back to the cage. Walters has Slyker pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Slyker manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Slyker manages to break the clinch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Walters is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Slyker. Andre Walters seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Slyker feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Slyker trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Slyker sitting in guard, not really doing much. Slyker trying to control the position from guard on top but Walters is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Walters is striking but Slyker is not phased and passes to half guard. Slyker prevents Walters from improving his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Slyker will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Walters is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Slyker scores with a couple of nice shots. Walters is looking to improve his position.
Slyker tries to stand and escape but Walters is controlling the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Walters throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Slyker's waist but Slyker gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walters off to one side. Slyker scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Walters tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Slyker counters with a one-two to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Slyker dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Andre Walters's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Slyker getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Walters shoots for a double leg takedown but Slyker sprawls well. He's pushed Walters's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Slyker lands a jab to the nose. Walters tries to clinch but Slyker moves away and Slyker counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Slyker. Slyker content to stall in guard here. Slyker is looking to stand up but Walters won't let him. Slyker stands up over Walters, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Walters wants to sweep but no luck. Slyker sitting in guard, not really doing much. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Walters can do anything to dispel that myth. Walters wants to improve his position but instead Slyker has moved into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Slyker stands up out of the half guard. Slyker is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Walters looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Walters tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Slyker counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That has opened up Andre Walters's cut even more. Walters shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Slyker counters with a head kick. That will keep Walters thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Cain Slyker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Walters. Walters takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Slyker scores with a nice head shot. Walters misses with an uppercut. Walters wants to clinch and Slyker counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Slyker scores with the left hand. Walters knows he should have avoided that one. Slyker lands with a nice combination. Walters backs away looking to recover. Slyker looks to land a combination. Walters sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
The cut above Andre Walters's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Slyker is looking to clinch. Slyker cracks Walters with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Slyker scores with a leg kick.

Andre Walters's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
The referee calls the doctor in to look at Andre Walters's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
