Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Red Flag (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergio Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gasolina. The key to victory for Red Flag has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergio Diaz! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flag throws a series of punches but Diaz moves out of range. Flag closes the distance and clinches. Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Diaz throws a body punch but Flag moves out of range. Diaz throws a head kick but Flag moves out of range.
Flag tries to clinch up. Flag throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Diaz has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. Flag throws a big counter combination but Diaz scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Diaz keeps the fight on the outside.

Diaz throws a hook to the side of Flag's head but Flag sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Diaz moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Diaz manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Flag on his heels. He'll look to pass Flag's guard now, I'm sure. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz is taking a break and basically stalling. That's four minutes gone in the round. Diaz is pushing down on Flag's leg trying to pass to half guard. Flag is fighting to maintain full guard but Diaz has managed to sneak the leg through. Flag is looking to escape. Diaz works his way into full mount! Flag knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Diaz swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Sergio Diaz! A very excited looking Sergio Diaz rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
