Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brutus Kowalski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miro Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kowalski comes to the cage accompanied by Pantera - Fucking Hostile. Miro Bang has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brutus Kowalski! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Miro Bang! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Bruno Lombardi and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bang fails in his attempt to clinch. Kowalski is looking to score with low kicks. Bang is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bang is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Kowalski misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bang.
Kowalski lands a leg kick that knocks Bang off balance momentarily. Bang avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Bang doesn't succeed with the takedown and Bang takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski tries to land a front kick but Bang steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Bang drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kowalski defends it well. Kowalski loads up on a big right hand but Bang slips the punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kowalski thows a leg kick but Bang checks it and Bang counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Bang tries to free his leg and advance position but Kowalski is retaining full guard. Bang is looking to work some ground and pound but Kowalski has wrist control. Bang with a flurry of punches that miss. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kowalski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kowalski trying to keep a closed guard but Bang is proving a slippery customer.
Bang stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kowalski swivels though and keeps the full guard. Bang drops back, looking for a kneebar! Kowalski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Kowalski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Kowalski! Bang is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kowalski is looking to take a break and control but Bang is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bang throws a couple of strikes even though he's not really in a good position to do so.
Bang tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Kowalski presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount! Kowalski content just to control the position here. Bang tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kowalski takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Bang is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bang keeps trying to improve his position. Kowalski looking to control and managing it successfully. Bang tries to get back to half guard but can't. Kowalski controlling his opponent. Bang is trying to escape the mount.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bang looking for a kimura from the bottom but Kowalski passes into side control! Bang tries to buck Kowalski off but Kowalski is having none of it. Kowalski wants to control but Bang is keeping him busy. Bang is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bang is trying to work for a sweep but Kowalski has mounted him! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bang tries to reverse the position but Kowalski maintains control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Brutus Kowalski dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Kowalski dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Bang swings away with a leg kick that misses. Kowalski punishes Bang's body with a nice straight punch. Kowalski misses the shot to the body. Nice jab there from Kowalski. Kowalski is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight. Kowalski misses with a straight left. Bang goes for a double leg but Kowalski avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kowalski continues to drive forward. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kowalski looks to score with a jab to the body but Bang is just out of range. Bang tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Bang keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Bang with the counter takedown but Kowalski avoids it easily. Kowalski finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nice defenses there by Bang. Bang is looking to clinch but Kowalski is avoiding it.
Kowalski cracks Bang with a right hand to the side of the head. Kowalski lands with an uppercut that bounces Bang off the cage and back into range. Kowalski throws a leg kick and Bang counters with a single leg into guard. Kowalski didn't expect that. Kowalski tries to land a sweep but no joy. Bang trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kowalski manages to land a sweep and now he's on top! Kowalski is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Bang looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Kowalski passes into half guard.
Brutus Kowalski overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bang looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kowalski slips a nice elbow through Bang's hands, connecting with Bang's forehead. Bang is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Bang moves into full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Bang is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Kowalski has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kowalski looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bang escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kowalski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kowalski not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Kowalski continues to stall. Bang keeping moving, preventing Kowalski from controlling successfully. Bang wants to hit a switch here but Kowalski passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bang there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Bang tries to reverse the position but Kowalski maintains control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bang is still trying to improve position. Kowalski controlling the position easily from mount. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kowalski's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Bang is working to get back to half guard.

Brutus Kowalski dominated that second round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Kowalski bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Bang's head backwards. Bang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Nice defenses there by Bang. Bang wants to counter the offense by Kowalski and move into the clinch position. Bang fails with an attempt to clinch.
A slow jab from Kowalski misses its intended target. Kowalski takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Bang takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Kowalski chopping away at his opponent's legs.

That's one minute gone in the round. Bang tries for a takedown but Kowalski sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kowalski appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Bang closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so. Kowalski throws a right hand that Bang ducks under and follows up with a left that Bang also avoids with ease. Kowalski throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bang sees it coming and avoids it easily. Bang misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brutus Kowalski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Miro Bang. Kowalski scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Kowalski throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Bang stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bang shoots in for a double leg but Kowalski sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Kowalski leaves Bang with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Kowalski lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Kowalski throws a nice inside leg kick. Kowalski throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Bang dives in for a single leg takedown but Kowalski sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Brutus Kowalski is winning the standup battle so far. Bang bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Brutus Kowalski is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Bang shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kowalski scoring well with a low kick there.
Kowalski swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Bang. Kowalski tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bang is able to avoid easily. Kowalski sets himself, and Bang steps forward looking for the clinch! Kowalski avoids it this time. Bang avoids the body shot from Kowalski.
Sloppy strikes from Kowalski. Those never looked like landing. A swing and a miss from Kowalski. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bang. Bang displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kowalski throws out the jab. Bang changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kowalski misses with a low kick as Bang jumps back. A looping hook to the body misses from Kowalski. Bang does a little dance to reset his feet. And Bang tries to counter it with a takedown but Kowalski pushes his down on his head and steps out. Kowalski is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Bang can do to turn this around? Kowalski throws a wild body kick that Bang sees coming a mile off. Kowalski swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Bang moves in looking to clinch but Kowalski pushes him off. A little feinted left hand from Kowalski on the counter but he doesn't commit to it. Kowalski misses with a leg kick and Bang counters by moving into the clinch. Kowalski misses with a short punch on the inside. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Bang has hold of one of Kowalski's legs. Kowalski is fighting the takedown attempt but Bang gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Miro Bang has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bang accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Bang missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brutus Kowalski is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Bang has gone for a leg lock! Kowalski slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bang's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Brutus Kowalski showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kowalski, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
