Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Letang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones has chosen Hell's Bells- AC/DC as his entrance music. Cain Jones will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Pierre Letang! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Cain Jones! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Some wild striking there from Jones.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Letang on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Letang closes the distance and clinches. Letang fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Letang breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Nice body punch from Jones. Jones punishes Letang's body with a nice straight punch. Letang drives through and clinches with Jones against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jones letting Letang take a breather here. Letang keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Jones's efforts to push away. Letang doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Letang is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Jones to keep the fight standing. Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Letang wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Letang pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Jones lands with a shot to the body. Letang closes the distance and clinches. Letang pressing his opponent against the cage. Letang has Jones pressed against the cage, preventing Jones from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Jones blocking some punches.
Letang has been working on his balance at Canadian Dragon MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Jones.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Letang misses with a short punch on the inside. Letang lands a left hand that snaps the head of Jones backwards. Jones working hard to break the clinch. Letang is looking to take this one to the mat. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Letang wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jones has him pressed against the cage. Jones looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Letang is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jones gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pierre Letang. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones being controlled against the cage. Letang stalls.

Letang wants to clinch. Jones lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Cain Jones dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Letang counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Letang. Letang misses with a punch to the body.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Letang throws a body shot but no joy. Letang is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

A head punch on the inside from Letang fails to land. Letang is trying to drag Jones to the mat but Jones just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Letang misses with a body punch.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Cain Jones seems to be getting the better of the standup. The crowd cheers as Jones lands an impressive looking overhand right. Letang doesn't seem phased though. Letang needs to keep his hands up - Jones had a free shot at his head there. Jones fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Letang throwing a counter right hand but Jones manages to avoid it. Letang moves into the clinch. Letang misses with a short punch on the inside. Letang misses with a hook from the clinch. Letang misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Jones.
Letang gets through Jones's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Letang will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jones up against the cage. Letang misses with the head strike.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Jones throws a right and a left that both miss. Letang tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Jones swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Letang. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! No joy there for Jones, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Letang shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Letang tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance. Pierre Letang is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Letang shoots in but Jones avoids the takedown attempt easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cain Jones showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Left hook, right uppercut from Jones. Oh Letang is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Letang gets tagged by a hook that puts him to sleep! Jones points and yells something to his unconcious foe before strutting off. Letang wakes up just in time to hear Jones thank his coaches in the post fight interview.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:30 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cain Jones! After winning the bout, Cain Jones thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
