Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Lily Hilgers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Desmond Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by skillet ~ monster . Desmond Nelson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lily Hilgers! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Desmond Nelson! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hilgers shoots in but no luck this time. Hilgers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nelson avoids it really well and circles away. Hilgers takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Nelson lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Hilgers fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Nelson to the ground. Hilgers is now in Nelson's guard. Hilgers trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Hilgers controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hilgers seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Nelson for as long as he can get away with. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Hilgers takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Hilgers gets a takedown into half guard. Nelson wants to stand back up but Hilgers manages to pass into side control.
Hilgers wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Nelson, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hilgers happy to just control the position for now. Hilgers is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Nelson has escaped the position, nice work there. Hilgers is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hilgers trying to control the action but Nelson is working from the bottom. Hilgers tries for a kimura but Nelson is defending well. Hilgers is trying to get an arm triangle but Nelson is defending well. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Nelson is looking for a sweep. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Desmond Nelson will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hilgers. Nelson looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Hilgers scores with a takedown into Nelson's guard. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hilgers controls from within his opponent's guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Hilgers pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Nelson is keeping the position for now.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Nelson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Hilgers dives in and scores a takedown into Nelson's guard. Nelson wants to get back to his feet but Hilgers passes into half guard.
Nelson is defending against the submission attempts here by Hilgers.
Hilgers controlling the pace. Hilgers is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Hilgers in particular looking to stall. Hilgers is trying to work for a kimura but Nelson is defending well.

Hilgers is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Nelson is just riding it out for now. Hilgers eventually gives up the hold. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nelson is defending against the submission attempts here by Hilgers.

Lily Hilgers dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Hilgers shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Nelson manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Hilgers keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the ropes. Nelson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nelson wants to break free but Hilgers has control.
Nelson wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Hilgers has him pressed against the ropes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hilgers is looking for a takedown. Nelson is trying to break the clinch but Hilgers is controlling him. Nelson is trying to force a seperation but Hilgers has the dominant position. Hilgers tries for a takedown but Nelson manages to get underhooks.
Nelson tries to break free but Hilgers pushes him back against the ropes. Hilgers drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nelson gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lily Hilgers. That's going to take a lot out of him. Nelson is trying to break the clinch but Hilgers is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hilgers lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Hilgers is working for a kimura but Nelson is defending it quite comfortably.
Nelson has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it. Hilgers is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nelson sees it coming and defends easily.

Lily Hilgers is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Hilgers is taking a breather. Nelson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Lily Hilgers. I think Hilgers has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
