Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vic Chai Big Chop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 47 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Lie!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yasuomi Hirokawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lie tries to clinch but fails miserably

so Big Chop counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Big Chop thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Big Chop stops Lie from standing up.
Big Chop's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lie is looking to stand up but Big Chop isn't so interested in that idea.
Big Chop's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Lie really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Big Chop. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Lie wants to get back to his feet but Big Chop passes into half guard.
Lie pushes Big Chop off looking to stand but Big Chop dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Big Chop trying to pass the guard but Lie defending well.
Lie scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Big Chop manages to mount him!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Big Chop fails to move to back control.
Lie really wants to buck Big Chop off and get back to his feet.
Lie stops Big Chop from taking his back. Still, being mounted isn't any better.
Big Chop is breathing heavily.
Lie is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Big Chop takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
You get the feeling that Lie really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Big Chop has control of Lie's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Lie regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Lie wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Lie wants to get back to his feet but in bucking up he's left an arm hanging out! Big Chop has locked onto it and has pulled off a slick armbar! Lie taps furiously! This one is all over!
