Saitou is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by XENO. Korey Gaines has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yuuki Gou and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Saitou feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Saitou has gone for a leg lock! Gaines slips out almost immediately though and dives into Saitou's guard.

Gaines is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Saitou's shoulder. That is not cool.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Saitou keeping hold of Gaines's head, controlling as best he can.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Saitou is breathing heavily.
Gaines lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Gaines is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Saitou is looking for a sweep. Gaines is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Gaines closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Saitou quickly recovers to half guard.

A close second round but Takeshi Saitou will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.
