Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Roger Rambusch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donnie Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Roger Rambusch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Donnie Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Steve Erwin and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rambusch looks to land a combination but Fisher avoids it well.
Rambusch moves in looking to clinch but Fisher pushes him off.
Fisher fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Fisher closes the distance and clinches up with Rambusch, looking for a takedown. Fisher pushes Rambusch against the cage but Rambusch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fisher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rambusch is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Fisher moves into range and clinches up with Rambusch.
Fisher keeps control of Rambusch as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Fisher manages to break the clinch.
Rambusch misses with a double jab.
Fisher misses with a wild combination.
Fisher circles away from the clinch attempt

and Fisher counters with a single leg into guard. Rambusch didn't expect that.
Rambusch lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fisher!
The referee warns Fisher that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Fisher is working to get back to half guard.
Rambusch can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fisher is looking to escape.
Rambusch looking to ground and pound but Fisher is blocking nicely.
Fisher is looking to improve his position but Rambusch isn't that keen on the idea.
Rambusch tries to control but Fisher wriggling away.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Rambusch thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fisher can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fisher manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Fisher wants to improve his position but Rambusch is controlling well.
Fisher is refusing to be controlled, as Rambusch sits in half guard.
Fisher is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fisher makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Fisher.
Rambusch trying to control the position from guard on top but Fisher is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Rambusch gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Fisher pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Roger Rambusch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Fisher drives through with a takedown into guard.
Fisher looks gassed!
Fisher won't allow Rambusch to get back to his feet.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Fisher accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Fisher stands and steps away. Rambusch gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Fisher tries for a takedown but Rambusch sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Roger Rambusch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Fisher.
Rambusch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Fisher avoids a punch combination nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donnie Fisher dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Fisher scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rambusch is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Fisher is controlling him well.
Rambusch manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Rambusch is in trouble now - Fisher has advanced to mount!
Fisher lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Fisher landing punches.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Fisher thowing shots but they're missing.
Rambusch is looking to get to half guard.
Rambusch wants to try and get back to his feet.
Fisher lands with some strikes.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Fisher tries to control but Rambusch wriggling away.

Fisher trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Fisher misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Fisher throws some wild stikes that Rambusch manages to avoid easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Rambusch is squirming around, avoiding Fisher's attempts to control the action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Donnie Fisher showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Rambusch's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Rambusch misses with a two punch combination.
Fisher throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Rambusch's waist but Rambusch gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Fisher off to one side.

Fisher has Rambusch up against the cage in a clinch.
Fisher tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rambusch smiles and moves away.
Fisher closes this distance looking for a takedown but Rambusch circles away.
Roger Rambusch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Donnie Fisher.

so Fisher counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Fisher won't allow Rambusch to get back to his feet.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Rambusch keeping moving, preventing Fisher from controlling successfully.
Fisher prevents Rambusch from getting back to his feet.

Fisher tries to stand but Rambusch is controlling from the bottom.
Fisher stops Rambusch from standing up.
Fisher is pushing down on Rambusch's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rambusch is fighting to maintain full guard but Fisher has managed to sneak the leg through.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Rambusch wants to get back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fisher scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fisher has knee on belly and moves into mount.

Fisher gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Rambusch closes the distance looking to clinch

and Fisher decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rambusch's guard.
Fisher passes Rambusch's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Fisher trying to control from Rambusch's half guard. Rambusch has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Fisher scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Fisher wants to control from the top but Rambusch keeps moving.
Fisher controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Well, if Fisher is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Fisher seems to be looking for submissions.

Donnie Fisher comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Fisher winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
