Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jones comes to the cage accompanied by Ramp (The Logical Song). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Joe Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, David Banks! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Banks misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Banks looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Banks doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
Banks throws a right and a left that Jones avoids nicely. Jones stuffs the takedown attempt from Banks. Banks gets slowly back to his feet. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones. Jones shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Banks but Banks pushes him off and we're back to square one. Jones throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Banks tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jones swats him away and circles back towards the center. Jones scores a takedown into full mount! Banks tries to hold on but Jones pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. BOOM! Jones connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Jones trying to control but he's not successful this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones dominating with strikes here. A nice elbow there by Jones. Jones has control of Banks's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Banks regains control of the situation pretty easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones looking to control but Banks is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Banks is looking to improve his position but Jones isn't that keen on the idea. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jones cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Jones controlling from the full mount. Banks is trying to stand. Jones goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Banks is on top in guard.
Banks is looking to stand up but Jones won't let him.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Banks stands up from guard. Let's bang! David Banks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jones shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Banks as he jumps to the side. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Jones. That's going to take a lot out of him. A combination from Banks does no damage. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Banks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Banks trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Banks sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Jones will probably get the nod. That's time! Jones's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Jones fails with the takedown and Banks decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Jones's guard. Jones wants to sweep but no luck. Jones had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Banks is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jones Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Banks's back instead. Jones is looking for the choke from the back position but Banks is controlling his hands well. Will Jones go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Jones is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Banks is defending well though. Jones let's go of the attempt for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Banks is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jones gets his way!
Banks wants to get back to his feet. Jones lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones misses with an elbow to the head. Jones is hanging on to Banks's back as he tries to escape.
Banks fending off the submission attempt from Jones. Jones is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish. Jones misses with an elbow to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? Banks looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Jones is working the ground and pound here and the referee is taking a close look at Banks. He must escape soon or this one will be stopped. Jones tightening his grip on Banks, looking for the choke. Jones is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.

Jones punishes Banks with strikes from the back mount. Joe Jones overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Jones lands shots from the back. Banks preventing the rear naked choke attempt from Jones. Jones has his opponent's back and is working for the choke. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Joe Jones dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Banks rushes Jones and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Jones pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

and Jones counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Jones thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Jones is tying to control. Banks wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Jones is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Banks! Banks is looking to get to half guard. Jones landing strikes from the mount.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Banks has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Banks! Banks won't allow Jones to sweep him here. Jones trying to control the position.
Banks stands up from Jones's guard - Banks perhaps looking for a knockout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Banks tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Jones lands a right hook to the body.
Horrible takedown by Jones or perhaps it was just good defense by Banks which made him look bad. Banks tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Banks misses with a two punch combination.
Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Jones cracks Banks with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Banks looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Jones! Jones keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Jones wants to control but Banks is having none of it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying desperately to improve position. Jones is working hard here to advance position. Joe Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones wants to control but Banks is having none of it. David Banks has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Banks throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joe Jones. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
