Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between KJ Talley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nathan Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson has a pretty significant injury - he really shouldn't be fighting right now but he's a warrior and he's here none the less! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 8 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, KJ Talley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Nathan Nelson! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Talley lands a jab to the head.
Nelson looks winded! Talley instigates a clinch. Talley slows down the pace here.
Talley taking a breather. Talley seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression. Talley lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. Talley pushes Nelson back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Talley breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Talley moves into range and clinches up with Nelson. Talley lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A right hook to the body lands for Talley.
Talley lands a right hand that snaps the head of Nelson backwards. A quick uppercut on the inside from Talley. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. A short uppercut from Talley. A nice right hand lands inside from Talley.
That's one minute gone in the round. Talley lands a shoulder strike. Talley lands a body shot. Talley is pushing Nelson up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Talley manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Talley will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Nelson up against the cage. Talley lands with a light punch inside. Talley scores with a shot to the side of Nelson's head. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Talley avoiding damage.
Talley gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by KJ Talley. Talley darts in and clinches Nelson up against the cage. A right hook to the body lands for Talley.
Talley connects with a big uppercut there that sends Nelson tumbling to the ground! Talley follows him down into his guard.
Nelson is rocked! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Talley drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Talley as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Nelson screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Talley! Nice submission victory there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). KJ Talley! In his post fight interview, KJ Talley started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
