Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tantalus Flay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cormac Gutz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Flay comes to the cage accompanied by Outerspace- Revolution. Gutz has chosen Everyday as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
26 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tantalus Flay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
37 - 22 - 4, fighting out of Las Vegas, Cormac Gutz! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, John Kavanagh and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Flay blocks the body kick.
Flay drops down looking for a counter takedown but Gutz sprawls and moves away. Gutz throws a looping overhand right but Flay ducks down to avoid it. Flay lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. A jab from Flay misses. Gutz looks like he wants to counter punch here. Flay throws a looping overhand right but Gutz ducks down to avoid it. Flay looks to throw the jab but Gutz is out of range. Gutz tries to move into range but Flay moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A swing and a miss from Flay. Gutz uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Flay. Flay moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromGutz. Gutz throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gutz misses with a straight left. Flay appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Gutz does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Gutz.
Flay misses with a lunging right hand
and Gutz counters with a low kick, right behind Flay 's knee. Flay swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. A little jabbing left from Gutz on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Cormac Gutz is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That's one minute gone in the round. Flay bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gutz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Flay. Flay scores with a jab to the body. Flay looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Flay throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Gutz. Flay swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Gutz counters with a nice low kick that buckles Flay's knee momentarily. Flay lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Gutz scores with a spinning back kick! Flay throws out a loose jab but Gutz uses good head movement to avoid it. Flay misses with a right hand and Gutz counters with a lovely straight right hand! Flay misses with a hook. Flay sizes up Gutz with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Gutz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Flay.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Flay stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Gutz. Gutz lands a nice leg kick that just misses Flay's sensitive parts. Gutz ducks under a wild hook from Flay. Flay misses with a straight left. Flay misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Flay shoots in and bounces Gutz off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Gutz controlling the position. Gutz keeping moving, preventing Flay from controlling successfully. Gutz preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Flay loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Flay trying to control but Gutz is working from the bottom. Flay slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Gutz is adopting a defensive guard. Flay throwing strikes but missing.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gutz misses with a hook to the body
and Flay counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Gutz! Gutz avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Flay. Flay connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Gutz some visible discomfort.
Gutz is looking to reverse the position. Flay trying to control the position but Gutz is working away. Flay goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Gutz rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Flay's guard! Nice work there by Gutz! Gutz throws a big right hand that misses.
That's five minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Gutz trying to control but Flay is working from the bottom. Gutz throwing strikes from guard but Flay blocks nicely. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gutz works over Flay with some ground and pound from guard. Flay pulls Gutz in close to his closed guard and prevents Gutz from doing any damage or advancing position. Flay is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Gutz works over Flay with some ground and pound from guard. Gutz with a flurry of punches that miss.
That's six minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Gutz lands a couple of decent looking shots. Flay keeping moving, preventing Gutz from controlling successfully. Gutz controlling from the top position. Flay working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gutz. Gutz working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Flay rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Gutz counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Gutz swings and misses with a hook to the body.

and Gutz counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Flay throws out a token jab with nothing on it. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Gutz! But no joy.
That's seven minutes gone in the round. Gutz steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Flay. Flay tried to score with a low kick but Gutz checks it. Flay is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Flay throws a poor cross that misses
and Gutz cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Flay lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. Gutz scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Flay throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

and Gutz counters with a nice right hand that sends Flay toppling to the canvas! Flay scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Gutz finish him?!
Flay is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Flay is aggressively charging in as Gutz backs up avoiding any damage. Gutz tosses out a jab and Flay runs right into it face first! Flay is out cold! Gutz dropped down on all fours and is barking in Flay's face like a pit bull in celebration until the ref was finally able to pull him away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 7:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Cormac Gutz! Cormac Gutz bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
