0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonny MacDonald! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mosley clinches. Mosley really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. MacDonald can't break the clinch.
MacDonald is trying to break the clinch but Mosley is controlling him. Mosley manages to break the clinch.
MacDonald throws a body punch but Mosley moves out of range. Good work by Mosley as he checks the leg kick. Jonny MacDonald seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. MacDonald takes the fight into the clinch. Mosley is trying to work for a single leg takedown but MacDonald pulls him back up using the underhooks. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. MacDonald prevents the takedown attempt.
Mosley has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by MacDonald after a bit of a struggle. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Albert Mosley. That's going to take a lot out of him. Mosley pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round. MacDonald gets a clinch. A frustrated look appears on MacDonald's face as he tries to break the clinch. MacDonald tries to break free but Mosley pushes him back against the cage. MacDonald gets a nice trip takedown into half guard. MacDonald looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Mosley looks like he's trying to stand up.
MacDonald stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Mosley to get to his feet. Some wild striking there from MacDonald.
MacDonald darts in and clinches Mosley up against the cage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. MacDonald looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Mosley has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by MacDonald after a bit of a struggle. MacDonald wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Mosley has him pressed against the cage. MacDonald misses with a wild body shot. Mosley closes the distance and pushes MacDonald back into the cage. MacDonald is defending well against a takedown attempt. MacDonald gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Mosley regains guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Mosley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. MacDonald gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. MacDonald connects with a couple of short punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mosley keeping moving, preventing MacDonald from controlling successfully. MacDonald is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Mosley has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. MacDonald is looking to defend but Mosley has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for MacDonald! Mosley pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, MacDonald taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:32 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Albert Mosley! In defeat, Jonny MacDonald stepped up to the mic, saying 'Dis was a fluke! Tat was no fight! Made a silly mistake tat wont happen again. Mark my word, ta next fight will be more prepped! I wont lose again (Scotish Accent)'.
