The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nicholson fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Park has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Zoran Park seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Nicholson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.

and Nicholson counters with a crisp one two that drops Park! Nicholson thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Park to his feet! Park is in big trouble!

Park on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Park with a lazy takedown attempt
and Nicholson counters with a left and a right... and another left... and another!! That last one turned off the lights! Park has no idea who he is and is as he gazes up at the spotlights. Brutal knockout!

Geordie Nicholson was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
