The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pride drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Pow looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Pow keeping full guard, as Pride tries to pass.
Pow keeping moving, preventing Pride from controlling successfully.
Pride is stalling in the full guard.
Pride looking to pass the guard.
Pride might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pow has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pride can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pride is pushing down on Pow's leg trying to pass to half guard. Pow is fighting to maintain full guard but Pride has managed to sneak the leg through.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Pride stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Pride closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Pow to the mat! Pow manages to get full guard.
Pow being controlled here, momentarily.
Pride decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Pow tries to keep at a distance but Pride has taken the fight into the clinch.
