Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kelvin Pouncey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatti Tasapaksu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tasapaksu has chosen Motorhead - Smiling Like A Killer as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kelvin Pouncey! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
33 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tatti Tasapaksu! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Ren Mimura and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tasapaksu finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Pouncey connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head. Tasapaksu throws a right and a left that both miss. Pouncey pushes Tasapaksu up against the cage in a clinch. Tasapaksu throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Tasapaksu gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head. Pouncey is trying to stall.
Pouncey wants to break free but Tasapaksu has control.
Pouncey stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Tasapaksu effectively controlling the action here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Both guys are working to get underhooks. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tasapaksu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Pouncey slowing the pace effectively. Tasapaksu stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Pouncey turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Pouncey manages to end up in side control. Tasapaksu explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
That's one minute gone in the round. A head kick misses from Tasapaksu. Pouncey lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Tasapaksu circles away quickly and effectively. Pouncey misses with a takedown attempt and Tasapaksu counters with an outside leg kick.
Pouncey walks into a left hand. Pouncey has been working on his balance at Body Pain_14elite_650$+VM, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Tasapaksu. Pouncey misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Tasapaksu.

Pouncey half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Tasapaksu rushes Pouncey and presses him up against the cage. Tasapaksu taking a breather. Tasapaksu lands an elbow just above Pouncey 's eye. Tasapaksu lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.

Tasapaksu is fighting it off but Pouncey persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tasapaksu's guard against the cage. Tasapaksu looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pouncey is one step ahead there. Pouncey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Pouncey throws an elbow that misses. Tasapaksu uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pouncey's guard. Nice move by Tasapaksu! Pouncey looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tasapaksu is one step ahead there. Tasapaksu is looking to work some ground and pound but Pouncey has wrist control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tasapaksu is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Pouncey is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Pouncey has escaped and now he's on top! Tasapaksu is trying to control the position but Pouncey postures up. Pouncey with a flurry of punches that miss. Pouncey preventing the sweep. Pouncey is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Pouncey lands a couple of digs.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pouncey scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Pouncey slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Pouncey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Pouncey looks to score with a jab to the body but Tasapaksu is just out of range. Tasapaksu throws a nice inside leg kick. Tatti Tasapaksu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pouncey uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tasapaksu.
Pouncey appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Tatti Tasapaksu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pouncey cracks Tasapaksu with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. A lazy left from Tasapaksu finds it's target. Tasapaksu misses with a combination
and Pouncey counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Tasapaksu! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Pouncey misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pouncey feints and as Tasapaksu raises his hands in defense, Pouncey changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tasapaksu looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Pouncey passes Tasapaksu's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Pouncey tries to pass the half guard into mount. Tasapaksu knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pouncey keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pouncey is looking to take a break and control but Tasapaksu is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pouncey is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tasapaksu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Pouncey attempts a counter takedown but Tasapaksu avoids it well and moves away. Pouncey throws a chopping leg kick but Tasapaksu manages to avoid taking any serious damage. Pouncey throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Tasapaksu tries to counter with a clinch but Pouncey shakes him off and moves away. Pouncey jabs at Tasapaksu's body. Tasapaksu shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A low kick from Tasapaksu misses and Pouncey counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Pouncey. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tasapaksu pulls Pouncey in close to prevent any damage. Tasapaksu utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Tasapaksu enables Pouncey to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Tasapaksu manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Pouncey is pushing down on Tasapaksu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Tasapaksu is fighting to maintain full guard but Pouncey has managed to sneak the leg through. Pouncey is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kelvin Pouncey. I think Pouncey has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
