Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Kush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marco Salas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marco Salas is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Kush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Salas!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Gwen Towbar and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kush will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Salas throws a quick inside leg kick.

Kush closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Kush tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.
Salas is trying to control Kush's posture but Kush avoids it.
Salas sneaks back into half guard.

Kush is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Salas doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Kush.

Salas is trying to control but can't.
Salas might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kush kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Salas looks like he's trying to stand up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Kush feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Salas's calf.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
A head kick misses from Salas.
Kush throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Salas's waist but Salas gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kush off to one side.
Kush swats away the attempt to clinch by Salas.
Kush tries a head kick but it misses.

Salas gets the takedown into side control.
Kush seems a little lost for a moment, as Salas dominates the positioning.

Kush is trying to escape the position but Salas is controlling the position.

Kush is doing well to control the position and prevent Salas from advancing to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kush flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Salas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Salas prevents Kush from improving his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Salas is keen to just control but Kush is a slippery customer.

Kush breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Kush shoots in for a double leg but Salas sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Salas decides to pull guard.

Salas wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Kush manages to pass to side control.
Salas is breathing heavily.
Salas looks like he's trying to stand up.

Kush decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

and Salas counters with a slapping leg kick.

and Salas counters with a low kick, right behind Kush 's knee.

Marco Salas showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Salas.

and Salas counters with a head kick. That will keep Kush thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Mike Kush has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

and Salas counters with a good, hard body kick but Kush shrugs it off.

Marco Salas comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Salas has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
