Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mehmet Muhammad (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Dickens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dickens has chosen I Want it All as his entrance music. Oliver Dickens told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mehmet Muhammad!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Oliver Dickens!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and Chris Edwards.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dickens darts in looking for a takedown but Muhammad gets double underhooks and turns Dickens into the cage.
Muhammad takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Muhammad seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Muhammad jabs Dickens to the body, keeping him at a distance.
A looping hook to the body misses from Muhammad. Dickens does a little dance to reset his feet.
The fighters circling - Muhammad throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dickens darts in looking for a takedown but Muhammad gets double underhooks and turns Dickens into the cage.
Mehmet Muhammad seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Muhammad feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Dickenss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Muhammad had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dickens defends it easily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Muhammad holds on and takes a little breather.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dickens is on top in guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Dickens accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

That was a close round but I would say that Mehmet Muhammad will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A relieved looking Mehmet Muhammad thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
