Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the bantamweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
25 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Moses Ohchooto! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
18 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Jeremy Pettis! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ohchooto closes the distance and clinches. Ohchooto misses with an elbow over the top. Pettis breaks the clinch.
Moses Ohchooto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ohchooto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pettis slips under a jab from Ohchooto. Pettis let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land. Pettis uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Ohchooto. Ohchooto misses with an uppercut
and Pettis counters by moving into the clinch. Pettis wants to get back to striking at distance but Ohchooto won't allow it.

Ohchooto lands with a right to the head. Pettis wants to break the clinch but can't.
A shot in the inside from Ohchooto. A short right from Pettis. Pettis working hard to break the clinch. Pettis throws a head punch that misses. Ohchooto tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Ohchooto lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Pettis backwards. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pettis manages to break the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Ohchooto.
Ohchooto throws a lazy head kick and Pettis counters with a stiff right hand. Ohchooto takes a swing at Pettis's ribcage but misses. Good standup being displayed there by Ohchooto as he connects with a hook. Ohchooto closes the distance looking to clinch enabling Pettis to counter with a crisp jab. Ohchooto waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pettis. Pettis is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. Pettis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ohchooto.
Pettis steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Ohchooto. Pettis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ohchooto scores with a jab to the body.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ohchooto misses with a kick to the body.
Ohchooto throws a sloppy head kick and Pettis moves out of range easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Pettis! But no joy. Ohchooto connects with a body shot. Pettis on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ohchooto gets off balance looking for a body kick enabling Pettis to counter with a crisp jab. Ohchooto throws a sloppy body shot
and Pettis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Pettis keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Ohchooto. Pettis swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Ohchooto fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Pettis is out of range. That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Pettis crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Ohchooto - the referee stops the clock and Pettis gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Ohchooto. Pettis manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes. Ohchooto throws a leg kick and Pettis counters with a straight right hand. Pettis has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ohchooto scores with a body shot.
Ohchooto throws a push kick but Pettis slaps the foot to one side. Pettis appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body. Ohchooto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ohchooto sets himself, and Pettis steps forward looking for the clinch! Ohchooto avoids it this time. Ohchooto clinches up with Pettis and pushes him back against the cage. Pettis has a couple of punches blocked by Ohchooto.
Pettis is trying to break free. Ohchooto swings wildly with an uppercut but Pettis uses good head movement to avoid it. Pettis blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pettis can't break the clinch.
Pettis has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Ohchooto unloads a knee to the mid-section. Pettis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Ohchooto has him pressed against the cage. Pettis blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Pettis takes a shot to the head. Ohchooto tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Pettis's elbow. Ohchooto lands a good knee to the midsection. Pettis won't want to take too many of those. Pettis tries to work over Ohchooto's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pettis wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Pettis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ohchooto throws a leg kick that is checked and Pettis counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pettis. Pettis wants to break free but Ohchooto has control.
Ohchooto fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Ohchooto lands a nice knee to the body. This has been an exciting period of action! Pettis lands with a short shot to the head. Ohchooto crunches a lovely knee into Pettis's ribcage. Ohchooto lands a nice elbow from the clinch. Ohchooto lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Knees in the clinch landing for Ohchooto.
Pettis escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ohchooto throws a body kick, spinning off balance and Pettis counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Ohchooto punishes Pettis's body with a nice straight punch. A punch lands to the side of Pettis 's head but he takes it in his stride. The fighters circle momentarily. Ohchooto darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Pettis is rocked! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Moses Ohchooto dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Ohchooto throws a head kick that misses. Pettis is still on wobbly legs! Can Ohchooto finish him? Ohchooto is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pettis can do to turn this around? Pettis wants to stay close but Ohchooto steps back to make room for something. Pettis seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Ohchooto and Pettis drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:11 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Moses Ohchooto! Moses Ohchooto retains his bantamweight title! In his post fight interview, Moses Ohchooto gave a big smile as he said 'ELIAH! ELIAH Marshall I want your strap. Make it happen Peel. Make it happen.'.
