Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
21 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sam Snead!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, El Pintos!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Snead misses with a few strikes there.
Pintos misses with a hook. Snead ducked under it nicely.
A jab from Pintos misses.
Snead looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Pintos throws a head kick that misses.
Snead appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Pintos, as that shot connected.
Pintos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Pintos lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
It looks like Sam Snead has been cut.
Pintos tries to close the distance and clinch but Snead swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Pintos lands a right hook to the body.
Snead is breathing heavily.
Pintos tries to close the distance and clinch up but Snead swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Snead blocks a head kick by Pintos.
Pintos comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A head kick misses from Pintos.
Pintos dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Pintos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
The crowd cheers as Pintos lands an impressive looking overhand right. Snead doesn't seem phased though.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from Pintos! Snead is out on his feet! Pintos rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Snead is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Snead is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). El Pintos!
El Pintos decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
