The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and Bruno Lombardi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eriksson looks to score with a jab to the body but Congo is just out of range.
Eriksson lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
It looks like Obi Congo has been cut.
Nice body kick there by Eriksson.
A solid body kick from Eriksson.
Congo misses with a right hand
and Eriksson counters with a nice kick to the body.
Eriksson lands a nice looking body kick.
Crunch! Eriksson slams his shin into Congo's torso.
Congo is breathing heavily.
Eriksson thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Congo if he has to take too many more of those.
A slapping leg kick lands for Eriksson.
Eriksson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Congo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Eriksson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Eriksson connects with a jab.
Congo will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Eriksson lands with a nice body kick.
Eriksson throws a sloppy head kick and Congo moves out of range easily.
Eriksson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Eriksson lands the left hand.
Congo tries to clinch but Eriksson moves out of range.
Eriksson sends Congo crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Eriksson is motioning to the referee to let Congo up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Congo is rocked!
Obi Congo's cut is getting worse.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Eriksson is stalking Congo. Congo circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Eriksson, and it's lights out! Congo really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
