PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sage Westcutt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daxx Goodman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Westcutt comes to the cage accompanied by Sage's Theme. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Goodman darts in and clinches Westcutt up against the cage.
Goodman missing with knees to the body.
Westcutt tries for a takedown but Goodman manages to get underhooks.
Goodman is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Westcutt pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Goodman prevents the takedown attempt.
Westcutt can't break the clinch.
Westcutt is working for takedown but Goodman is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sage Westcutt. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Westcutt is breathing heavily.

Westcutt is fighting off a takedown attempt but Goodman is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Westcutt to the mat. Westcutt regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Westcutt is wriggling around but Goodman manages to pass to half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Goodman uses his free foot to push down on Westcutt's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Westcutt.
Goodman breaks from Westcutt's wrist control and lands an elbow.

Goodman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Goodman swings around for an armbar and he's got it! Wow, that came out of nowhere! What a finish!
