Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Michael Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Troy Lancaster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Michael Hayes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
22 - 14 - 2, fighting out of New York, Troy Lancaster! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hayes looks to land a left hand but Lancaster moved out of range nicely. This fight brought to you by 5M nutrition - it's mmmmm tasty. Nice jab by Hayes. Lancaster throws a jab when Hayes was well out of range. Lancaster is looking to clinch but Hayes is avoiding it.
Hayes takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Lancaster tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Hayes is able to avoid easily. Hayes shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Lancaster throws a quick inside leg kick. Hayes shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Lancaster counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Hayes shoots in for a takedown but Lancaster shows good takedown defense. Hayes cracks Lancaster with a good jab. Lancaster chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Hayes misses with a wild body shot. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hayes tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Jab, jab by Lancaster - just one landing. Hayes shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lancaster's guard. Lancaster wants to get back to his feet but Hayes passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hayes lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hayes seems to be looking for submissions.
Hayes wants to control but Lancaster is keeping him busy. Hayes landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Hayes wants to take a breather but Lancaster is having none of it. Lancaster keeping hold of Hayes's head, controlling as best he can. Lancaster tries to kick Hayes off but Hayes keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lancaster makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work! Hayes lands a slapping body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Hayes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Hayes. That's going to take a lot out of him. Hayes throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Hayes closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lancaster to the mat! Lancaster manages to get full guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Lancaster tries to land a sweep but no joy. Hayes stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lancaster swivels though and keeps the full guard. Hayes lands a couple of digs. Lancaster tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lancaster wants to hit a switch here but Hayes passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Lancaster there! Lancaster is trying to escape the mount.
Hayes lands a big shot there that rocks Lancaster but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hayes landing shots from mount. Lancaster is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hayes has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Lancaster's face.
Lancaster tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hayes with shots to the head and body - Lancaster looks very uncomfortable down there. Lancaster is trying desperately to improve position. Hayes is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Lancaster to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Lancaster shrugs it off. A nice elbow there by Hayes. Hayes lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Lancaster is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lancaster wants to try and get back to his feet. Oooooh, big shot lands for Hayes! Lancaster is hurt baaadly! Hayes is firing away with more strikes - Lancaster is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
