Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sammy Sammich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cody Zeller (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cody Zeller has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Sammy Sammich's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sammy Sammich! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Cody Zeller! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sammich tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Cody Zeller seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Sammich throws a wild body kick that Zeller sees coming a mile off. Sammich fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Zeller. Zeller shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Zeller showed some decent athleticism there. Sammich might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Zeller is pressing down on Sammich's thigh, looking to free his foot. Sammich is holding on for now. Sammich is not content to let Zeller control the position. Sammich is holding on to half guard well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sammich pushes Zeller off looking to stand but Zeller dives back in and keeps control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zeller looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Sammich is trying to maintain the position but Zeller is very close to passing his half guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Zeller wants to take a breather but Sammich is having none of it.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A jab from Zeller finds it's way through Sammich's defenses.
It looks like Sammy Sammich has been cut. Zeller throws a wild body kick that Sammich sees coming a mile off. Zeller swings away with a leg kick that misses. Sammich fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Zeller checks it well. It seemed like Zeller was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Zeller throws a right hand that Sammich ducks under and follows up with a left that Sammich also avoids with ease. Sammich throws a counter high kick but Zeller was just alert enough to avoid it. Zeller fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Sammich.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zeller swinging wildly here.
Zeller takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Sammich blocks a low kick nicely. Sammich has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gym of the Gods in the buildup to the fight. Zeller throws a leg kick but Sammich checks it. Sammich tries to counter by clinching up but Zeller breaks away and moves out of range. Sammich displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zeller pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sammich circles away from the clinch attempt and Sammich counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Zeller throws a big shot that misses. It looked like Sammich wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Sammich displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zeller throws out the jab. A head kick lands from Zeller that sends Sammich to the canvas. Sammich tries to scramble back to his feet but Zeller brings him back down into side control. Zeller working the ground and pound but Sammich is defending the strikes.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Zeller cracks Sammich with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Zeller immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Sammich is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Zeller!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cody Zeller! Cody Zeller is the new heavyweight champion!
