Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Raphael Swanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonny Jon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jonny Jon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Raphael Swanson !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 11 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonny Jon!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Swanson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Jon darts in and clinches Swanson up against the cage.

Jon manages to break the clinch.

Swanson drops Jon with a beautiful combination! Jon stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Swanson is looking for the KO!

Jon is rocked!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Swanson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jon.
Jon looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Jon is still on wobbly legs! Can Swanson finish him?
No joy there for Swanson , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jon on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
A combination from Jon does no damage.

Jon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Swanson wants to get back to his feet but Jon passes into half guard.
Jon seems to have recovered his senses.

Swanson tries to kick Jon off in order to stand up. Jon Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

I wouldn't like to be where Swanson is right now.

Swanson wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Swanson wants to control but Jon postures up.
Jon working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
The ground and pound from Jon seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Swanson avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Jon.

Jon decides to stand back up. Jon steps back and let's Swanson get back to his feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Jon closes the distance and clinches.
Jon effectively controlling the action here.

Jon gets control of Swanson 's arms and successfully pulls guard. Jon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Jon has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Swanson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Swanson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jon creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Swanson 's defenses.

We've been informed that Jon has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Jon is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.

Jon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Jon blocks a jab.

Oooooh!!! Swanson has knocked Jon down with a huge combo! Swanson steps away and waves a wobbly Jon back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Jonny Jon has been cut.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jon.
Swanson throws a nice looking combination but Jon bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Swanson lands with a jab that stuns his opponent. Jon is looking to close the distance but Swanson sees it coming and throws a beautiful knee! Jon crumbles to the mat and that's all she wrote! Let's hope Jon is OK because that was naaaaaasty!

After winning the bout, Raphael Swanson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
