The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hardy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Martin tries to avoid it but Hardy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Martin to the ground. Martin escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Martin shoots in and bounces Hardy off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Hardy wants to sweep but no luck.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Martin wants to control from the top but Hardy keeps moving.

Martin slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Martin throws a strike aimed at the side of Hardy's head but Hardy avoids it well.
