2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Piere St Piere! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Piere closes the distance but Shevchenko moves to the side and Shevchenko counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Shevchenko is nestled in close to St Piere, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. St Piere is defending against the submission attempts here by Shevchenko.

St Piere is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Shevchenko scores with a couple of nice shots. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. St Piere really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Shevchenko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Shevchenko lands a nice forearm strike. St Piere wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Shevchenko landing a few strikes. Shevchenko in side control lands a decent elbow. Shevchenko wants to control but St Piere is keeping him busy. St Piere is pushing Shevchenko's head away, looking to escape. Shevchenko manages to hold on to the position though. Shevchenko scores with punches from side control. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Shevchenko tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Shevchenko has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! St Piere takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Shevchenko is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Shevchenko drops a big elbow. That's hurt St Piere! More shots from Shevchenko and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
