Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Matthew Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grayston Kyle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Matthew Diaz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grayston Kyle! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diaz with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Kyle to score with a decent uppercut. Kyle scores with a nice strike.
It looks like Matthew Diaz has been cut. Kyle fakes the leg kick and cracks Diaz in the body. Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kyle defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Kyle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kyle misses with a head kick.
Diaz fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kyle to the ground. Diaz is now in Kyle's guard. Diaz throwing strikes from guard but Kyle blocks nicely. Diaz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Diaz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Kyle managing to control the position. Diaz stops Kyle from standing up. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kyle works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diaz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Diaz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Diaz takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Diaz instigates a clinch. Diaz drags the fight down to the ground.

He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Kyle is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Diaz scores with a couple of nice shots. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Diaz is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Kyle doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Diaz. Diaz throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Kyle tries to kick Diaz off but Diaz keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Diaz is looking for a kimura but Kyle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Diaz to get the leverage. Diaz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Diaz lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kyle keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyle avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Diaz. Diaz has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Diaz performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Diaz is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Kyle sees it coming and defends easily. Kyle looks winded! Diaz decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Kyle bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Diaz gets in close and instigates a clinch. Diaz is stalling here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Kyle working hard to break the clinch. A hook to the body from Diaz.
Kyle tries to break the clinch but Diaz is controlling the position. Diaz ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Diaz no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Diaz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Diaz avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Kyle tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kyle manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Diaz moves into the clinch successfully.

Kyle breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Diaz is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kyle can do to turn this around? We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab from Kyle misses. Diaz drops down looking for a counter takedown but Kyle sprawls and moves away. Diaz tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kyle defends well and Diaz ends up having to push Kyle into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kyle getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Diaz is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Kyle is trying to maintain a safe position but Diaz gets an underhook and turns Kyle into the cage. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Kyle has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matthew Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him. Diaz stalling against the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Diaz - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Kyle has him pressed against the cage. Diaz manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back. Diaz looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Matthew Diaz overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kyle would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Kyle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Diaz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kyle wants to pass the guard but Diaz is keeping the position. Kyle wants to stand and escape but instead Diaz has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diaz gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Diaz on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Kyle. Kyle obviously looking to wear him down.
Kyle smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Kyle tests Diaz's chin there with a solid looking shot. Diaz shoots in for a takedown but Kyle shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Kyle gets tackled into the cage by Diaz. Diaz maintains the clinch. Diaz is trying to pull guard but Kyle turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kyle blocking some punches.
Kyle is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Kyle working hard to break the clinch. Diaz tries to score a body lock takedown but Kyle shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Diaz tries to pull guard but Kyle forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Diaz has Kyle pressed against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Diaz tries to pull guard but Kyle forces him back to his feet, against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kyle can't break the clinch.

A close second round but Grayston Kyle will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Matthew Diaz's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Jab, jab by Kyle - just one landing. Kyle ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Diaz moves away from the strike by Kyle. Diaz uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kyle. Nice body punch from Kyle. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kyle lands a nice shot to the body.
Diaz takes a kick to the side of the head.
Diaz is rocked! Kyle lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Diaz - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Kyle!
