The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones throws a nice looking combination but St Pierre bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. St Pierre shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. A swing and a miss from Jones. St Pierre fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jones sprawls well initially but St Pierre persists and gets the takedown into half guard. St Pierre is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. St Pierre eventually gives up the hold. Jones flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

St Pierre wants to stand up but Jones is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Jones looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
St Pierre works over Jones with some ground and pound from guard. St Pierre preventing the sweep. St Pierre is working Jones over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. St Pierre postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Jones wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. St Pierre takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Jones throws a right and a left that St Pierre avoids nicely. St Pierre avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Nice shot by Jones. A cross from Jones lands. Jones stuffs the takedown. Jones scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. St Pierre walks into a stiff left hand from Jones. St Pierre moves out of range as Jones throws a body kick.
Jones works the jab nicely. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Jones misses with a series of wild punches.
St Pierre is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Jones. Jones is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! St Pierre forces Jones back against the cage and clinches.

Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jeffrey Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of George St Pierre. St Pierre gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. St Pierre showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Jones.
Jones is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. St Pierre shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well. Jones misses with a wild combination.

Jones lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Nice cross by Jones. Jones throws the left hand but St Pierre avoids the punch easily. St Pierre throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jones's waist but Jones gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing St Pierre off to one side. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw. Jones slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. St Pierre clinches with his opponent.

That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jones swivels and escapes. Left hook, right uppercut from Jones. St Pierre on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Jones throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jones throws a series of punches but St Pierre moves out of range. St Pierre misses with a takedown attempt - Jones sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Jones throws a series of punches but St Pierre avoids them all with ease. Jeffrey Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. St Pierre drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Jones scores with a sloppy right hand. St Pierre should have avoided that one. St Pierre looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Jones gets full guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Jones looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but St Pierre puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard. St Pierre wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it. St Pierre is looking to stall here but Jones recovers full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jeffrey Jones dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
St Pierre takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. St Pierre shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Jones scores with a hook. It looks like George St Pierre has been cut. Jones cracks St Pierre with an open hand slap. Jones connects with a right hand. St Pierre shakes it off. Jones scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
St Pierre is rocked! Jones bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps St Pierre's head backwards. St Pierre is still on wobbly legs! Can Jones finish him? St Pierre looks up at the clock. Bad move! Jones lands a right hand from hell, dropping St Pierre. Jones pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
