The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Taro Takaoka and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briggs displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Williams.
Williams clinches up with Briggs and pushes him back against the ropes.
Williams has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Briggs avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Briggs working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
