Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gunnar Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joko Lelono (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nelson comes into the arena with mama said knock you out blaring out of the sound system. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunnar Nelson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joko Lelono! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nelson checks a low kick from Lelono. Sloppy strikes from Nelson. Those never looked like landing. Lelono thinks about the counter body kick. Nelson falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lelono counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nelson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Lelono has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Nelson is landing a low percentage of strikes. Nelson throws a combination that misses and Lelono counters with a nice body shot. Nelson walks into a straight right hand from Lelono. Nelson throws a head kick that misses. Nelson tries to bum rush Lelono with a series of wild strikes but Lelono uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Lelono fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Nelson. Nelson throws a combination that misses and Lelono counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lelono is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Nelson sees it coming and defends easily. Lelono controlling the action here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lelono is just content to waste time from the top position. Nelson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Lelono trying to control the position from guard on top but Nelson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lelono looking to sit in guard and control but Nelson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Lelono is pulling down on Nelson's head to control his posture. Nelson controls from within his opponent's guard. Nelson wants to get up but he can't break Lelono's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Lelono working for a triangle but Nelson defends it easily.

Nelson not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Nelson's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Nelson would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Lelono is looking for a triangle but Nelson pushes his legs off easily.
We've been hearing that Nelson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Nelson stays in close to Lelono's body and controls the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nelson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Lelono working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nelson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nelson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nelson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lelono's guard. Lelono is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Lelono looking to hit a scissor sweep but Nelson is one step ahead there. Nelson avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Lelono trying to control the position here.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The fight stays on the outside here - Nelson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Nelson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Nelson tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. Lelono is looking for a sweep. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lelono can't do much from the bottom here. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Lelono is positioning himself to get back to half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joko Lelono will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Nelson throws a lazy head kick and Lelono counters with a nice body kick. Nelson uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Lelono. Lelono avoids the head kick by Nelson.
Lelono moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Nelson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Nelson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Lelono counters with a leg kick. Nelson shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lelono napping and manages to drive through into side control! A lull in the action here. Lelono throwing some weak shots from the bottom that do no damage.
Lelono is trying to improve his position. Nelson is looking to take a break and control but Lelono is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lelono is trying to get back to half guard. Lelono struggling a bit here. Nelson tries to stand but Lelono is controlling his head. Lelono is looking to regain half guard here but Nelson keeps moving and retains side control. A lull in the action here. Nelson working away. Gunnar Nelson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Nelson slows the pace down. Lelono is looking to reverse the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Lelono is trying to control Nelson's posture but Nelson avoids it. Nelson tries to stand but Lelono is controlling his head. Nelson content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson wants to stand but Lelono has his arm trapped.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Lelono connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. Nelson scores with a takedown into Lelono's guard. Nelson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Lelono's guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Lelono blocks a head kick by Nelson.
Despite the aggression on Lelono's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Gunnar Nelson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nelson misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

A nice side step and Lelono releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Nelson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lelono avoids it really well and circles away. Nelson throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lelono throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lelono dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Nelson. That did some damage! Nice sprawl there from Lelono as Nelson shoots in. It looks like Gunnar Nelson has been cut. Nelson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Lelono swivels and escapes. Lelono feints a counter leg kick. Lelono throws a nice outside leg kick. Nelson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Nelson is rocked! Nelson darts in trying to clinch and Lelono makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick. Oh Nelson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Lelono throws a monster overhand right that drops Nelson! Lelono follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Joko Lelono! A relieved looking Joko Lelono thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
