Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Van Kelly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ove Sundberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Van Kelly! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ove Sundberg! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Paulsen Ambrosius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly moves in looking to clinch but Sundberg pushes him off. Sundberg with a body punch. A glancing blow. Excellent takedown into side control there by Kelly. Kelly thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Kelly tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Kelly definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Kelly has knee on belly and moves into mount. BOOM! Kelly connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Kelly pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kelly throwing strikes but Sundberg uses the opportunity to regain half guard. Kelly throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Kelly thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sundberg's head. Sundberg tries to roll over but Kelly keeps him under control. Kelly throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sundberg works his way to full guard. Good work. Sundberg is adopting a defensive guard. Kelly pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sundberg is keeping the position for now. Kelly postures up.
Kelly connects with a couple of short punches. Kelly postures up in Sundberg's guard and throws a big left but Sundberg blocks it. Sundberg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kelly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kelly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sundberg managing to control the position. Kelly throwing strikes but missing. Kelly working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sundberg working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kelly. Sundberg working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kelly doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kelly manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Sundberg looking to control.
Kelly lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Kelly with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Sundberg bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kelly's guard.
Kelly is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Kelly has momentary wrist control but Sundberg slips an elbow through the middle. Kelly throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly is looking for a triangle but Sundberg pushes his legs off easily.
Sundberg stands and throws Kelly's legs to the side, diving into side control. Sundberg scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Kelly to see if he's OK. Kelly is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Sundberg off and has taken his back! Sundberg turns into Kelly and is now in his guard.
Kelly keeping moving, preventing Sundberg from controlling successfully. Kelly escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Sundberg gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kelly has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sundberg can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Sundberg postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Sundberg trying to control but Kelly is working from the bottom.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kelly utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Kelly is looking for a triangle but Sundberg pushes his legs off easily.
Kelly looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sundberg has picked Kelly up and slammed him! Kelly can't keep hold of the triangle and Sundberg manages to pass to side control! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sundberg is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kelly knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Sundberg cracks Kelly with a big right hand but Kelly just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Sundberg lands a nice forearm strike. Sundberg in side control, just content to control the action for now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kelly manages to get back to half guard. Kelly actively working from the bottom here. Sundberg has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Kelly wants to improve his position but Sundberg is controlling well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Van Kelly dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Sundberg misses the jab. Kelly dives in and grabs Sundberg's left leg, looking for a takedown. Sundberg pushes down on Kelly's head and hops out. Sundberg shoots in for a takedown but Kelly shows good takedown defense. Kelly will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Sundberg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Sundberg wants it to stay on the feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Van Kelly. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sundberg fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Kelly looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Kelly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sundberg paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sundberg now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Left hook, right uppercut from Sundberg. Sundberg tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Kelly defends well and Sundberg ends up having to push Kelly into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. Kelly darts in and clinches Sundberg up against the cage. Kelly misses with a knee to the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sundberg taking a breather. Kelly has Sundberg pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Sundberg manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Kelly goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kelly is working for takedown but Sundberg is calmly controlling the position for now. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kelly is trying to drag Sundberg to the mat but Sundberg just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Kelly manages to break the clinch.
Sundberg scoring well with a low kick there.
Sundberg jabs Kelly to the body, keeping him at a distance. Sundberg jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kelly on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Kelly shoots in for a takedown but Sundberg shows good takedown defense. Sundberg drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Kelly defends it well. Sundberg scores with a body shot.
Kelly closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kelly is thwarting Sundberg's attempts to control the position. Sundberg looking for submissions off his back. Sundberg trying to control from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Sundberg preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Sundberg actively working from the bottom here. Kelly with the ground and pound but Sundberg uses the opportunity to regain guard. Kelly stopping the sweep attempt from Sundberg. Sundberg had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kelly defends it easily. Kelly lands a couple of elbows. Sundberg not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sundberg escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kelly gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Kelly landing some decent shots from guard. Sundberg looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Kelly manages to get his head free but now Sundberg has transitioned to an armbar! Kelly grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Sundberg! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
