The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacDonald closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Adams tries to sprawl but MacDonald drives through with a takedown into half guard.
MacDonald trying to work for an americana but Adams has managed to regain full guard.
MacDonald is in close to Adams's body, working some short punches and elbows.

MacDonald shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Adams's guard.

Adams changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
MacDonald lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Adams circles away quickly and effectively.
Adams fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
MacDonald throws a good cross that connects.

MacDonald tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Adams paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Adams shoots in for a double leg but MacDonald sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
MacDonald throws a solid leg kick but Adams takes the impact on his shin and smiles at MacDonald.
Adams shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches MacDonald napping and manages to drive through into side control!
MacDonald really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Adams. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Adams in side control, throwing shots but MacDonald defends.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Adams is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Adams takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Oh Adams is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Adams throws a head kick that misses
and MacDonald counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Adams falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

After the fight, Jonny MacDonald was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
