Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Dean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Domingo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Stephen Dean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ben Domingo!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Chris Downing and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Domingo fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Dean to the ground. Domingo is now in Dean's guard.

Domingo postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Dean is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Domingo, into his guard.

Dean is looking to work some ground and pound but Domingo has wrist control.
Dean connects with a couple of short punches.

Dean working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Domingo's head.
Dean has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

and Dean counters with a three punch combo that has Domingo backing up. Domingo nods at Dean to acknowledge the strikes.
Dean tries to score a power double leg takedown but Domingo sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Dean somewhat.

Dean bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
