And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 1, fighting out of New York, Christopher Jiannotti!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Summers tries to clinch there but Jiannotti circles away.
Jiannotti looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Jiannotti closes the distance and clinches.
Jiannotti throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Summerss head.
Summers content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Summers jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Jiannotti walks away with a smile on his face. Summers gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Jiannotti shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Jiannotti was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Summers wants to get back to his feet.
Summers is trying to escape the position but Jiannotti is controlling the position.
Summers could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Summers is looking to regain half guard here but Jiannotti keeps moving and retains side control.

Jiannotti feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
