Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Freds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Nathan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, John Freds! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Nathan! The judges for this bout are William Gold, James Ackerman and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nathan circles away from the clinch attempt.
Freds scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nathan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Freds looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Nathan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nathan lands in his opponent's guard. Nathan tries to free his leg and advance position but Freds is retaining full guard. Nathan is standing up over Freds. Freds looks to escape but Nathan dives into side control.
Nathan working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nathan controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nathan scores with punches from side control. Nathan in side control, just content to control the action for now. Nathan stands up and beckons Freds to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Freds feints a jab promting Nathan to slip. Freds then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nathan slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Freds pulls out of a head kick attempt.
John Freds seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nathan dodges the punch combination from Freds.
Freds catches Nathan with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Nathan forces Freds back against the cage and clinches. Freds has had enough of the clinch but Nathan keeps him there for the moment. Nathan has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Freds uses from the top position. Nathan wants to get back to his feet but Freds is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Nathan looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Freds is looking to stand up but Nathan won't let him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Nathan is on top in guard.
Freds knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nathan on the ground. Nathan's corner is telling him to maintain position. Nathan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Freds is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Nathan is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Nathan gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Nathan on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Freds takes a swing at Nathan's ribcage but misses. Nathan throws a wild body kick that Freds sees coming a mile off. Freds misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Freds cracks Nathan with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Nathan decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nathan decides to stand and escape the position. Freds displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. John Freds is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Freds is breathing heavily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Freds lands with a good body shot. Nathan looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Nathan is standing up over Freds. Freds looks to escape but Nathan dives into side control.
Nathan lands some shots froms side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Robert Nathan will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Freds!
Nathan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Freds. Nathan takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Freds drops Nathan with a beautiful combination! Nathan stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Freds is looking for the KO!
Nathan is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Freds lands with a shot to the body. Nathan is still on wobbly legs! Can Freds finish him? Nathan is looking to clinch. It looked like Freds was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Freds fails to land with a series of punches.
Nathan tries to counter by closing the distance. Freds has taken the fight to the clinch.
Nathan drags the fight down to the ground.
Freds wants to stand but Nathan is controlling his posture from full guard. Nathan seems to have recovered his senses. Nathan has Freds pulled in close to control his posture. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nathan wants to stand and escape but Freds is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nathan looking for a sweep. Not yet Nathan, not yet. Freds has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nathan is proving hard to escape from. Nathan has his hands on Freds's head, controlling the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Let's hope that Nathan has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity. Nathan drives through with a takedown into guard. Freds is wriggling around but Nathan manages to pass to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nathan working over Freds with some ground and pound. Freds looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Nathan stops Freds from getting back to his feet.
Nathan seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Nathan frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Nathan tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Nathan is continuing to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nathan goes for an armbar but Freds turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Freds.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Freds would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard. Nathan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Still in half guard, Nathan seems content to control. Freds is in trouble now - Nathan has advanced to mount! Nathan throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Freds has his hands clasped together but Nathan breaks the hold and Freds is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Nathan!
