Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Sadaharu Tanikawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spanky Spangler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Spangler has chosen WHITE LIGHTNING-by AB as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sadaharu Tanikawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Spanky Spangler!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Anni Minnemäki and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Spangler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spangler appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Tanikawa tries a head kick but it misses.
Spangler doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Tanikawa moves in looking to clinch but Spangler pushes him off.
Tanikawa is looking to clinch.
Spangler avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Spangler unleashes a big counter combination but Tanikawa bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Spangler scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Sadaharu Tanikawa has been cut.
Tanikawa moves to clinch but Spangler breaks away
letting Spangler counter with a right hand.
Tanikawa tries to clinch up
and Spangler counters with a big right hook, that lands right on the temple! Tanikawa goes down! Spangler rushes to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. This one's going to be close! 3,4,5,6,7... Tanikawa is up to one knee.... 8,9.... He's up! The referee says he's good to go, so we're back to the action!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tanikawa tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Spangler counters with a perfect left hook, dropping Tanikawa to the canvas. He tries to get back up quickly but his equilibrium is all over the place! He's up... he's back down again! There's no need for a count as the referee calls off the bout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Spanky Spangler!
In his post fight interview, Spanky Spangler started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
