Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sena Machida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rafael BR (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Machida comes into the arena with Face The Pain blaring out of the sound system. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida has a takedown stuffed.
Jeez, both these guys look absolutely knackered already, that's not a good sign!
BR tries for a takedown but Machida circles away easily
and Machida counters with a right hand to the body.

Machida tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
BR is trying to escape the mount.

BR is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

BR is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Machida is looking to break free of the clinch but BR has double underhooks.
BR tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Machida smiles and moves away.

and Machida counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Horrible takedown by Machida or perhaps it was just good defense by BR which made him look bad.
BR looks for a takedown but Machida sprawls well.

BR throws a series of punches but Machida avoids them all with ease.

BR suckers Machida into throwing a sloppy strike and uses the momentum to reverse the position beautifully! BR is now in Machida's guard!

and Machida holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Machida drops to a knee looking for a takedown but BR gets the underhooks and prevents it.
