The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Newman tries for a takedown but Duststorm manages to get underhooks.
Newman can't get the takedown.
Newman drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Duststorm gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Duststorm is trying to force a seperation but Newman has the dominant position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Newman escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duststorm gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Newman is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Duststorm can't fight it off and eventually Newman manages to take the fight to the floor. Duststorm looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Newman will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

That was a close round but I would say that Rosendo Newman will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Newman has hold of one of Duststorm's legs. Duststorm is fighting the takedown attempt but Newman gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Duststorm wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Newman manages to pass to side control.
