The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Doe throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Doe throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Doe doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Tynkkynen jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Doe steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Tynkkynen.
Tynkkynen swings for the body but Doe moves out of range.
Doe tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Joe Doe seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've been informed that Doe has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Doe lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Tynkkynen throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Tynkkynen definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Tynkkynen dives in and grabs Doe's left leg, looking for a takedown. Doe pushes down on Tynkkynen's head and hops out.
Doe connects with a right hand. Tynkkynen shakes it off.
Tynkkynen uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Doe.
Tynkkynen takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Tynkkynen is rocked!
Doe fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Tynkkynen checks it well.
Some bone on bone action there as Tynkkynen checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Tynkkynen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Doe.
Doe dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Doe stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Doe wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Rauno Tynkkynen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Doe moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.

Tynkkynen closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Doe is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Tynkkynen had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Tynkkynen takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Doe.
Doe lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Joe Doe is the new heavyweight champion!
Joe Doe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
