Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Benjamin Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ten Crack Commandments kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Conor McGregor told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGregor thumps Snow with a low kick. McGregor tries a low kick but Snow avoids it. McGregor thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Snow if he has to take too many more of those.
McGregor misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Both fighters circling a little - McGregor finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. McGregor throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Snow counters with a lovely shot to the body. McGregor drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. McGregor must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Snow bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in McGregor's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! McGregor wants to get back to his feet but Snow is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Snow works over McGregor with some ground and pound from guard. Snow landing with the ground and pound. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Snow working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Snow throws a strike but McGregor rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Snow has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. McGregor has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. Snow gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, McGregor regains guard.

Snow lands a couple of decent looking shots. Snow postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. McGregor is looking for a triangle but Snow pushes his legs off easily.

He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! McGregor wants to stand back up but Snow manages to pass into side control.
Snow connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused McGregor some visible discomfort.
McGregor really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Snow. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Snow working the ground and pound. McGregor takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Snow working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Snow in side control lands a decent elbow. McGregor takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGregor is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Snow looks up at the clock and then as McGregor takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Snow smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Snow is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. McGregor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Snow lands a nice forearm strike. McGregor takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Snow really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Snow is chipping away with strikes.
McGregor bucks up and tries to throw Snow off but instead Snow has got his back! Snow lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Snow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Snow is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Snow gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Snow gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Snow apologises and we restart here on the feet.
McGregor throws a nice looking combination but Snow bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. McGregor throws a wild body kick that Snow sees coming a mile off. McGregor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Snow circles away quickly and effectively. McGregor looking to land some kicks to the body here.

and Snow counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for McGregor! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Snow has worked his way into a potential kimura here. McGregor is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Snow yanks on the arm and McGregor is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Snow.
