These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Ivan Kurochkin and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ljashko takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Ljashko tries to clinch up
and Turner counters with a nice uppercut.
Turner circles away from the clinch attempt.
We've been told by Ljashko's head coaches at Russian Top Team Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Ljashko moves to clinch but Turner breaks away
and Turner makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Turner lands with an uppercut that bounces Ljashko off the ropes and back into range.

Turner takes a swing at Ljashko's ribcage but misses.
Ljashko appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Ljashko's jab looks to have found its range, popping Turner under the eye.
It looks like Bobby Turner has been cut.

Turner tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ljashko was well out of range. Poor timing from Turner.
A little feinted left hand from Ljashko on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Ljashko forces Turner back against the ropes and clinches.
Turner can't find room to land a body shot as Ljashko controls the action.
Ljashko breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turner lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Ljashko falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

After winning the bout, Bobby Turner thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
